Excavating Finished

Excavations have finished and building area is all level. Can see the lower level where the garage steps down and the large step up at the back where the middle level sits above. Not sure if we will need retaining walls yet. Just have to wait and see.

Excavating Work Started

Work has started yesterday. Should be a slab going down by the end of next week!!!

We have pegs and a security fence

Phonecall from site superviser

Got a phonecall today from site superviser saying he was out at the block. Surveyers will be there in the next few days and excavators might be there on around the 23rd August. The safety/security fence will be put up in the next few days also.

Construction to Commence

Received a letter today from Montgomery Homes saying construction to commence on 27th August.

Block cleared today

The building area of the block has been cleared today. Was done by Newcastle Earth Moving newcastleearthmoving.com for $1500. I think a vey good price. included stump removal and all. Not the clearest photos as I only had the mobile phone camera.

Here are some pics of the block prior to being cleared. It slopes down to the front of the block and a bit from right to left. heaps of trees and undergrowth to b cleared. Will be nice to have trees around once the house is built tho.
