Progress So Far Since Moving In
Here's a few pics of the landscaping we've done so far plus a few pics of the inside of the house. We are still waiting for the shutters and blinds to be made and installed as well as waiting on the dining furniture and for the colorbond fencing to be done...but otherwise things are getting there.

Wow, looks great. I hope you enjoyed your holiday. We have the electrician coming to see us at the block tomorrow so that will be nice actually getting to walk around it to get a feel for the place.

I don't know if you still check this but I followed a link to your blog from H1. Love your house! We're looking at Montgomery Homes, would you recommend them? Could I ask you how that heater thingy works in your lounge room? Is it plumbed in or stand alone/portable? What are the details for it...please?! It looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteHey yeah still checking occasionally. Would definately recommend Montgomery. Have had nothing but good service and we are very happy with the house. They have even been out to fix a few things we have noticed lately which we didn't notice when first moved in.
ReplyDeleteThe fireplace is an ethanol fire. so it is portable. burns metho. we get the 20 litre drums of it from bunnings. Got the fireplace from Ebay. There are the original ones made by ecosmart which cost like $3000 to $10000 but this was like $300 from ebay. We have a black one as well which is flat with a panel of glass on either side. There are lots of different looking ones around. Just need to make sure you get one with a decent size burner...ie like holds at least one or 2 litres or more as there are some on ebay that hold hardly anything and will only burn for 30 minutes. Not the cheapest heating...but looks good if having people over etc.
Anyway hope that helps a bit.
