Tiling finished

Tiling of the bathrooms and laundry is finished and the kitchen splashback is done. The stone benchtops are also installed in the kitchen. There is still all plastic coating over the kitchen to be peeled off but it all looks good. an aluminium edging still needs to be put around the windows next to the kitchen bench.

We have found a tiler to do the rest of the house and the balcony and that's gonna cost about $10 000 all up. More than we thought but the tiling needs to be done. It's the same guy that did the bathrooms etc so at least we know he does a good job.

The kitchen appliances and bathroom fitout should be happening next week. They tell us handover should be around 10th March.

Not Long Now

The kitchen cupboards are in, the bathroom vanities and bath are installed + waterproofing done and all the internal painting is done. All that's left is the bathroom and laundry tiling and fitout to be done, the kitchen appliances to be installed and the stone benchtop to go on. Outside they just need to paint the down pipes and put in the water tank and the hot water heater and that's about it. (apart from a good clean up all over). Won't be too long now and we should be talking about getting keys and handover etc.

The only problem is we can't get in anymore to take photos which is kinda why I've been a bit slack putting info on here. We are pretty happy with the colours etc tho from what we can see by staring through windows and doors. And it looks huge inside now with the plastering/board done and painted light colours of the roof and walls.

Looking forward to getting carpet/tiles to the remainder of the house, shutters/blinds fence driveway etc and moving in and doing landscaping...mostly cos with that comes 2 whole months holidays from work for both of us.
